Research Interests
My research focuses on measuring chronic disease burden to understand how it varies across populations and why. Detailed measurements are needed to identify modifiable drivers of structural inequity, motivating my interests in small-area estimation, crosswalking misaligned data, and survey design. I have examined racial and ethnic disparities across US counties and helped build a health and demographic surveillance system in rural Rwanda.
