The Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics trains students in methods for studying disease causes and prevention in general populations, evaluating diagnostic tests and treatment efficacy in clinical settings, and using evidence-based approaches in clinical practice. We offer high-quality degree and certificate programs across our three core areas: Epidemiology & Translational Science (ETS), Health Data Science (HDS) and Training in Clinical Research (TICR). The emphasis in all our programs is on the integration of population-based research methods with clinical applications.
