Training Programs
The UCSF Implementation Science Training Program (ImS) offers flexible online learning opportunities for healthcare practitioners, health system leaders and administrators, researchers, policy professionals, and trainees—including graduate students, clinical residents and fellows, and postdoctoral scholars. Choose from a full certificate program, individual courses, or short courses designed for focused skill building.
The Online Certificate program offers a comprehensive, flexible curriculum designed for busy professionals. In this part-time program, learners complete six graduate-level courses focused on designing strategies that support the adoption of health-related interventions.
All 11-week courses in the Online Certificate curriculum are open for stand-alone enrollment, so you can build targeted implementation science skills without committing to the full program.
Live and online, these 2-3 day trainings include interactive didactic sessions, real-time applied exercises, dedicated time to develop your own project ideas, small group discussions, and personalized feedback on applying concepts to your work.
Other Implementation Science Offerings
Master of Science Degree in Clinical & Epidemiological Research, Implementation Science Track
A rigorous, two-year course of study intended for advanced pre-doctoral fellows, postdoctoral fellows and faculty members who wish to master clinical research methods and pursue independent research careers. Implementation science track scholars take a series of implementation-specific electives and most of the required courses for the standard master’s program.
Research in Implementation Science for Equity (RISE)
RISE is an all-expenses-paid training opportunity for junior faculty who are underrepresented in the biomedical sciences. RISE is designed to train competitive scientists and enhance the diversity of the biomedical research workforce.
