Provides high-quality, culturally responsive, holistic mental health care and wellbeing services to assist learners in achieving academic and professional success as well as lifelong health. The CARE Program provides free, confidential support to any UCSF affiliate including students, staff, faculty, post docs and researchers who have experienced harassment, abuse or discrimination related to identity and to any UCSF affiliate who has experienced interpersonal violence such as sexual assault, dating/intimate partner violence, sexual harassment or stalking. This program also has a dedicated CARE Advocate for Racial Justice who provides confidential support, assistance and advocacy on behalf of UCSF community members who are experiencing discrimination based on their race, ethnicity and/or national origin and other protected categories.

Spiritual Care Services facilitates religious rituals and personal spiritual practices and provides emotional support and exploration of issues that are of meaning and value to patients, their families and loved ones, and UCSF faculty, staff, and students. Meditation rooms can be found at Mission Bay, Parnassus and Mt. Zion.
Career Development
Career Planning Information Sessions
The UCSF Office for Career and Professional Development (OCPD) offers trainees general information sessions for planning diverse career paths and offers one-on-one counseling sessions to students and recent graduates.
Mentorship
The UCSF Office for Career and Professional Development also offers student mentorship.
Mediation & Conflict Management
The UCSF Office of the Ombuds offers mediation and conflict management services to faculty, administrative staff and all enrolled students at UCSF.
Fees & Financial Resources
UCSF Student Financial Services offers opportunities for students to apply for federal loans or federal work-study jobs through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Please note that only US citizens and eligible noncitizens are eligible for Federal Financial Aid. Refer to the Federal Student Aid website for additional information regarding eligibility.
Non-US citizens and non-permanent residents are eligible for private educational loans. Please refer to the UCSF Student Financial Services website if you are an AB 540 student or an international student.
Program fees are posted by the UCSF Office of the Registrar each academic year. The fees posted by the Office of the Registrar are estimates based on currently approved amounts. These figures may not be final. Actual fees are subject to change by the Regents of the University of California and could be affected by state funding reductions. Accordingly, final approved levels (and thus a student's final balance due) may differ from the amounts shown.
Individual course fees vary by course and are updated each academic year. The fees do not include the cost of books, software, supplies, housing, or personal expenses.
